Microwave or Stove Top serving:1 1 cup water 1/4 cup grits dash salt (optional) Microwave Directions: 1. Combine water, grits and salt in a microwave-safe bowl; stir. 2. Microwave on HIGH 3 to 4 minutes until thickened; stir. Stove Top Directions: 1. Bring water and salt to a rolling boil. 2. Slowly stir in grits; reduce heat to medium. 3. Cook 5-7 minutes; stir frequently. 4. Remove from heat; cover; let stand until thickened; stir. *For thicker grits use less water; for thinner grits use more water. **Due to differences in microwave ovens, cooking time is approximate.
